Bought the unit Christmas last year. Family has played it maybe 20-30 hours and now disc failure.
Ta Da! In to the shop for repairs. The cost is not outrageous just disappointed that for $500.00 bucks in unit and games
and accessories this is the disc life on this one.
I know it’s an inexpensive console but we’re not talking Xbox 360 either. Just a simple format player.
I’m just saying…
Help answer the question about nintendo wii
How much does a nintendo wii cost in London?
I am going to go London nintendo wii and i want to buy a nintendo wii but i don't know how much to save up. Can someone please give me the answer of this question.

Playing Nintendo Wii games with your friends and family is a great way to spend some time. While you are will be messing around with each other you will also be improving your strategies. Do you ever wonder how your gaming skills stack up against others out there?

One way to find out is to enter various Nintendo Wii competitions. These are really fun events that will allow you to find out. You may already compete against people online so you are used to that. Yet you aren’t going against the best of the best which you will in those competitions.

Some of them will require you to have a certain amount of points on a given game before you can register for the competition. If you aren’t at that level yet then keep on practicing. As your skills improve you can look for other Nintendo Wii competitions to sign up for. They are quite popular so they are going to be around for a very long time.

You may find some of them offered locally at retail stores and gaming stores. They will likely have a limited amount of slots for each age group so make sure you sign up early. There will also be specific rules that apply for each competition so make sure you are well aware of them. You don’t want to end up being disqualified nintendo wii due to not following the rules that were posted.

Most of these types of Nintendo Wii competitions are designed to further promote the gaming system. Some of them are also set up to promote new games that may not be taking off as well as Nintendo has anticipated. It is very likely that the winners of these competitions will end up winning Nintendo Wii games, accessories, and even gaming consoles for their efforts.

You will also find there are many online Nintendo Wii competitions that you can take part in. You may need to surf around to find those for the particular games you are the most interested in. This can be your time to really show off your stuff. There are fabulous prizes including trips and cash for the winners too.

You shouldn’t have to pay to sign up for the various online Nintendo Wii competitions. Shy away from any of them that ask for a membership fee or an entry fee. Always verify that you are registering for a legitimate Nintendo Wii competition. Sadly, there are some scammers out there that will try to take advantage of innocent people who don’t take the time to do so.

There are such competitions for both children and adults. Since they are online it really isn’t possible to verify the ages of those playing. However, you do have to agree to a release form that states you are indeed part of the age group that the Nintendo Wii competition is for.

Children will also need the permission of their parents to participate in these activities. IT can be a great way for your entire family to rally around them and cheer them on for such an event. You will need to take a look around online to find out when such competitions are taking place. The rules can vary for each one so make sure you pay attention to that as well.

It seems like this concept is becoming more popular than ever before. In fact, you can expect to see some big events sponsored by Nintendo in the next couple of years. Most of them will be to promote their newer games and to make sure the interest in the Nintendo Wii doesn’t wane. They have to do all they can to stay ahead of the competition.

Nintendo is also very interested in individualizing the gaming experience for people. So these types of Nintendo Wii competitions are just one more way that they can do so. They want to make sure people feel like they are a part of the game instead of just someone sitting there with a controller in their hands playing it.

        Amazing game!

        Had lots of fun. Big mario Fan and this one is probably my favorite.

        Love the fact that you can play it with other people at the same time. big plus! dont have to sit anymore waiting for the other person to die for you to play.

        Love having my Joshi back!

      2. Branson Says:

        I really enjoy playing this game. But I feel like I should give it only 2 stars due to the lack of saving opportunities alone. What moron game designer decided that you should only be allowed to save after clearing several courses? Why can’t I save each time I clear a course? Just doesn’t make for a fun experience. Especially if you struggle with a certain course but have to keep going back to clear previous courses just to get back to the one you haven’t mastered. Again, it’s a fun game, but I find myself really frustrated with this aspect. Not sure I would buy another Mario Bros. game due to this…

      3. Acheson Says:

        Buyer beware!
        This is a very addictive game! That said it is great fun if you can play it in moderation.

      4. McElhaney Says:

        This game is fun for all ages three to one hundred and three. Reminiscent of the super marios 1-3 and super mario world, it will please old school gamers and there is enough of a new twist to keep it challenging & fun for all gamers inexperienced and experienced. My whole family loves to play this game. I swear they should use this game as therapy for drug addicts, this game is more addictive than crack ;^D! Run don’t walk to get a copy of this awesome game you guys.

      5. Eck Says:

        this chargeing station works very well. Irecmond this charger to any one with a wii.

      6. Currie Says:

        The charging station is great, no complaints whatsoever, it is everything it is advertised to be.

      7. Eton Says:

        This is a must-have product for the Wii, so that you don’t have to store piles of batteries at home. The only issue I have is that the connectors are great, and you have to align the remote perfectly when putting it back into the cradle, otherwise they won’t charge. If you just place it in the cradle fast without making sure the blue light is lit, it won’t charge. Cheers.

      8. Carleton Says:

        I’ve wanted this game since I got a Wii but couldn’t find it when I had money. so when I had some money I looked on amazon and every other time I looked they didn’t have it. I found out it’s because most stores didn’t because it’s a very popular game. I absolutely love the game except for the relentless attacks you get once you get in the lead and the horrible items they give you while in the lead to protect yourselves. other than that the game is awesome. I really like the drivers they put in and I always love using the bikes.

      9. Funaro Says:

        Our family received Mario Kart for Christmas and we just love it! We have had way too much fun with this game! With all four of us playing together, it’s quite entertaining. And that is one of the best benefits to the newer Nintendo, is that on some games, you can have more than 1 or 2 players and include a couple more people in on the playing. We’ve had quite a few entertaining family nights with this game. It’s a great game for the young or the old!

        Some levels are fairly easy and some are a little more difficult to get through, but that just adds to the challenge of the game.
        I recommend this game to anyone and everyone!

      10. Newbery Says:

        What fun this game is! My son & I love love love it! We have so much fun racing each other, playing on the different tracks.

        For beginner players, I highly suggest you play alone for a few rounds to get used to the different tracks. There are quite a few tracks that you can fall off of in some points. Some tracks have several areas where you can fall into water or into oblivion.

        For intermediate players, you’ll love the challenge that each track has to offer. If you don’t know how to drift, this is the time to hone that skill.

        For advanced players, you’ll love the challenges of each track too. Drifting into the turns to gain the advantage is key to winning the races & getting the First Place Trophy at the end.

        For everyone, each character has different karts & bikes. Play around with each one until you find a character & a kart that you like. Soon you’ll be racing & laughing with your friends until your sides hurt.

      11. Bell Says:

        I don’t own this game, but have played it many times at friends’ houses. Overall, it’s awesome. I was able to adapt to the Wii wheel in a short time and found the steering more fun than a regular control stick. The multiplayer is very fun, and up to 4 players can play with either the Wii wheel, a remote with a nunchuck, a remote with a classic controller, or a Gamecube controller. I must say I can see why it is so popular and one of the top-selling racing games ever. Many different characters, karts/bikes, and tracks make it epic. Mario Kart Wii is an excellent addition to any Wii game collection.

      12. Ackroyd Says:

        I had played this game at a friends house, i had a great time. bought one for the family, and our whole house is carpeted. The board very often has wonky readings because of the carpet.

      13. Ferry Says:

        I just love the variety of activities that are available on this thing. I am addicted to it. This morning I got on for an hour & 20 minutes and burned over 600 calories. Can’t wait till they release the Racquetball game

      14. Lasalle Says:

        I wanted the wii fit plus for myself to work out on but as great as it is for working out for me its more fun for the whole family to compete with all the mini games for balance etc even my three year old loves it and can go most of the games as well as the yoga poses. The only negative that i can think of is your not supposed to jump on the board and its kind of hard not to sometimes and if you do it makes you start the game all over. Other then that I would recommended it to everyone.

      15. Hardy Says:

        This thing is pure genius and I confess — I’ve become slightly addicted. The Wii in itself is the coolest cheap date night. Add Wii Fit, and the product went from fun to totally useful. First, you/your family create your “mii” which you alter so that it looks like you. You can even add your pets in and weigh them, which makes the home screen adorable when the whole family runs out to greet you! Then, you weigh in and your mii either stays the same, gets thinner, or *gasp* gets bigger if happen to be overweight. I believe this setting can be altered if that part doesn’t appeal to you.

        The concept behind many activities is balance because the rule of thumb is that your core becomes stronger when your balance is right. Besides balance, it has some of these fun activities:
        * strength
        * yoga poses
        * downhill skiing for balance
        * running
        * hula hoop
        * boxing
        * step
        * many more

        Honestly, if you work out a lot, some of them are lame. For example, the step was very disappointing and I didn’t even break a sweat. I wish the cardio features of it were more challenging. The top activities in my opinion are: strength, yoga, and hula hoop because they are the toughest. Once the system recognizes that you are ready, it does unlock more advanced options. For example, the hula hoop time goes up (and actually, the hula hoop is pretty challenging and great for the waist!) and the strength exercises will unlock a higher number of repetitions.

        If you want to work out hard, you’ll have to still go to the gym. However, the Wii Fit really keeps you in check with the weigh-ins (and the corresponding charts that show your progress) and you can create workouts for yourself that may include yoga and strength (or whatever you want) for those days you don’t feel like going to the gym or perhaps for an extra quick morning routine.

        Any exercise is good exercise and the Wii Fit found a way to make it fun. I definitely pay more attention to my balance and after so many plank poses and leg lifts, and I do feel a bit stronger/more toned.

      16. Noakes Says:

        Easy to connect to the T.V. Lots of hours of entertainment. Makes for a fun afternoon. I would recommend buying.

      17. Biggle Says:

        The Nintedo Wii is not a terrible product, but it is nothing special. The vast majority of the games are made for people under the age of 7. This is not bad if you are looking for a family console but it only does just that. When we got our wii several of the games we got with it didn’t work well, not that the games were broken but they were unresponsive even after we adjusted the receiver. It is very hard to play shooter games because of the way the controls are made, like in Call of Duty: World at War, you have to press down B and twist counter-clockwise to throw a fragment grenade. Because you are twisting it is impossible to aim and therefore nearly impossible to use (Whenever I try the grenade ends up blowing my squad to pieces). It is also harder to snipe than on other consoles. Half the time in the middle of an online match you will move to try and find your enemy and it will spazz out for 3-6 seconds, enough time to get shot. If you are going to play shooter games get something else (I play MOH on my gamecube more). Mario Cart however is good. it is great for parties and fun to play contact racing where you can push the person sitting next to you. Sometimes the controller wants you to go another way and no matter how you turn you will go straight into a wall. Wii play is also pretty fun, but I only play tanks, cow racing, target practice, and the fishing game. Im am actually saving to buy an xbox 360 because of better games and graphics. If Your looking for young person/entire family entertainment look no further, but if you want to play shooter games, get an xbox or ps3.

      18. Nam Says:

        If you’re looking for advice on a gaming system, I’ll tell you what a teenager told us. If you’re looking to buy for a younger child, say over 5 but younger than 14, then get the Wii. But, if you’re buying for a teenager, then they’re looking into the Xbox. So, there you have it, from the lips of a teen. So, off we went to get the Wii since we old folks could work out with it as well. It has been the best investment! We can use it with the Wii Sports, and the kids get to have a blast with it with the games. It’s so easy to use, the setup is easy (an 8-year-old did ours), and well, it’s just been a marvelous addition to the gametime in this house. A word of caution, however, be SURE you read the directions. There are warnings enclosed that state things like “Don’t play longer than 45 minutes at a time.” The Wii can cause seizures in people so be sure you pay attention to that stuff. Other than that, it’s great. Highly recommend!

      19. Lavender Says:

        You definitely need to buy this if you have a Wii – it makes keeping your Wii remotes ready to go so much easier. No more dead batteries to deal with – just pop your remotes in the charger and they’ll soon be ready to go. It doesn’t take long to charge them either. Highly recommended!
